I was proudly the Team Great Britain, Head Basketball Coach, for the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi in 2019 and still enjoy playing 'Blended' Basketball in my spare time.
I have been fortunate and humbled to have acquired the following accolades and awards along the way:

I have worked in big corporations, as well as a consultant for independent businesses.
Working in a care setting runs in the family, and has always felt close to my heart. The Inclusion Project would've been a lifeline for my own family had it been available in the '90s.

I have worked in Health and Social Care for 35 years and during that time I have had the privilege to work in many different areas. I began my career in nursing and then went onto work for Local Authority supporting adults with learning disabilities.
I started my management career within Local Authority and managed a unit within my service for adults with learning disabilities whose behaviour challenged.
I became a Health and Social Care trainer in 2009.
I decided that I wanted to start my own Health and Social Care company and did this successfully for 6 years, being the Registered Manager and Nominated Individual. During this time I achieved GOOD across the board with CQC and had the honour of winning an HCPA award for Most Innovative Care at Home team.
Most recently I have worked at Hertfordshire Care Providers Association and have trained Registered Mangers in their roles, I was also the Internal Education and Quality Assurance manager and was the lead in Mental Capacity and Safeguarding Training.
My qualifications are:
L3 Assessors Award
L4 Internal Quality Assurance Award
L4 Management
L4 Management in Health and Social Care
L3 and L4 PTTLS
I have also completed both tiers of the Oliver McGowan Training
I am extremely proud to be a part of The Inclusion Project, working with such a dedicated team and amazing participants.

I started with The Inclusion Project as a Participant, and actually met Simon Jackson-Turner whilst out with my Group Leader. Simon and I started talking about our shared passion for systems and testing code ... I am now working as the Systems Officer, with Simon as my mentor.
I enjoy problem solving, automating tasks, and making different pieces of software work together.
I have a strong background in Mathematics; a Bachelors in Mathematics from Warwick University, and a Masters in Mathematics from the Open University. I also have some experience with Maths tutoring. During my time as a student, I was first exposed to Programming and to Computer Science. My interest in these areas has only grown over time.
On the Programming side of things, I have varying levels of experience with (La)TeX, MATLAB, SageMath, Haskell, Python, Lua, C, and Bash/shell scripting, among others.
